Cathead:Category Filter
Cat0:This window enables you to filter the list of items by category. The filter works as an AND search (as opposed to the Supplier filter which uses an OR search). This means that items will be displayed in the list if they match all the categories you have chosen.
Cat1:The toolbar buttons on the left allow you to open the Apps and Suppliers windows. The tick button in the centre selects all the categories (i.e. the category filter will be turned off and all the items will be shown).

Supplierhead:Supplier Filter
Supplier0:This window enables you to filter the list of items by supplier. The filter works as an OR search (as opposed to the Category filter which uses an AND search). This means that items will be displayed in the list if they match any one of the suppliers you have chosen.
Supplier1:Clicking on the space to the left of the supplier's name will add or remove that item to/from the filters, and a tick will be displayed for each supplier currently being used in the filter.
Supplier2:Clicking on the supplier's name will select that supplier and invert the text. You can then use the Info button on the toolbar (see below). You can also double-click on a supplier's name to open the Info box directly.
Supplier3:The toolbar buttons on the left allow you to open the Apps and Categories windows. The Info button in the centre opens a separate window giving full details about the supplier which has been selected in the list. The other two buttons (tick and cross) allow you to select all or none of the suppliers respectively.

Apphead:Application List
App0:This window displays all the store items that match the current filters (category and supplier).
App1:Clicking on the item will select that aitem and invert the text. You can then use the Info, Fetch or Buy buttons on the toolbar (see below). Double-clicking on an item opens an Info window giving full details about the item.
App2:The toolbar buttons on the left allow you to open the Suppliers and Categories windows. The Info button in the centre opens a separate window giving full details about the item which has been selected in the list. The Fetch button will download the item if it is available without charge, or a demo of a commercial item if one is available. The Buy button enables you to purchase a commercial item.

NewAcchead:Create New Account
NewAcc0:You can continue using PlingStore anonymously for as long as you want. However, you will not be able to purchase items from the store, and you will not get other benefits of registration, such as notifications when software you have downloaded has been updated. This window enables you to create an account which will register you as a user.
NewAcc1:PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to give any personal or credit card details unless you wish to purchase items from the store. All the system requires is a username and password which will not make you identifiable to anyone.

Usage0head:Downloads
Usage00:This section will enable you to view and manage the downloads you have made.

Usage1head:Purchases
Usage10:This section will enable you to view and manage the purchases you have made.

Pershead:Personal Details
Pers0:Your details will not be shared with anyone unless you give specific permission on each occasion, for example when registering a piece of software that you have downloaded or purchased. Otherwise the data will be restricted to this computer and will be stored in an encrypted format.

Cardhead:Payment Card Details
Card0:PLEASE NOTE: you only need to complete these details if you wish to use a credit or debit card to make purchases from PlingStore. All information will be stored and submitted in an encrypted format, and is stored only on this computer, not on the server or anywhere else.
Card1:If you tick the option to use personal name and address, then the information you have entered in the Personal Details section will be used as your credit card billing address.
Card2:The CVC is the Card Verification Code - the last three digits of the number on the back of the card.
Card3:If you click the Use Now button, the information will be kept in memory but not stored when you quit the application.
Card4:If you click the Save button, you will be offered the option to store the card details in the regular Choices location from where they will be automatically loaded whenever you log in to your account, or to store a password-protected file in a user-defined location, e.g. a removable disc for extra security.

Savehead:Save Card Details
Save0:You can choose to have your card details automatically stored in an encrypted format in Choices, from where they will be automatically loaded whenever you log in to your account.
Save1:Alternatively, you may save them in a location of your own choosing, for example on a removable disc for greater security. In this case you may also specify a password which will be used to add a second layer of encryption to the data. The password is not stored anywhere so cannot be retrieved by anyone else (you will of course need to remember it yourself!).

Retrhead:Retrieve Card Details
Retr0:If your card details were saved with a password, you need to enter the password into this window to enable PlingStore to read the file.

Purchhead:Purchase item
Purch0:This window enables you to confirm the purchase of an item from PlingStore. Clicking the Confirm button will activate the purchase and send your payment details to PlingStore, so make sure that you are sure you want to complete the purchase before clicking. You need to tick the box to say that you accept the terms and conditions before you can activate the purchase.
Purch1:Your card details will be sent to PlingStore via a secure connection, and will not be stored on the server.
Purch2:If you have special instructions for the supplier, or have been given a promotional code etc, click the Special Instructions button and enter the details into the writable icon that will appear.

Signinhead:Sign in
Signin0:If you are already registered as a PlingStore user, either via the website or with this application, select the "Log in to existing account" option and enter your details.
Signin1:If you are not already registered, select the "Create new account" option.
Signin2:If you tick the "Remember me" box PlingStore will insert your login details automatically whenever you open this window.

Panelhead:Transaction Reference
Panel0:Your credit card payment will be authorised as soon as possible and you will be notified when this is completed, whereupon you will be able to download the software you have purchased.
Panel1:The transaction reference code will be stored and used in future to identify you as the legal owner of a licence to use this software. You may wish to keep a separate copy for your own records, in which case you should click the Copy Ref button which will open a text file containing the reference code, from where you can copy or save it where you wish.

Softhead:Software Manager
Soft0:This window enables you to manage all the software you have bought or downloaded.
Soft1:The two buttons on the left of the toolbar allow you to view full information about the item selected (also available by double-clicking an item), and to remove an item of software from the manager (see below). The next two buttons allow you to filter the list to include or exclude either purchased software or freely downloaded items.
Soft2:Removing an item will not delete the application itself but will remove all data relating to that item from the manager. For this reason it is not possible to delete purchased items since you would then be unable to download or upgrade the application you have purchased.
Soft3:The status of each item is mostly self-explanatory, apart from:
Soft4:Payment declined: Your payment for this item has not been accepted. You will be contacted by email or by telephone to check your payment details.
Soft5:Payment being processed: Your payment details have been submitted. You will receive an email to notify you that the payment has been accepted or to request further clarification.
Soft6:Payment approved: Your payment for this item has been approved and you may now download the app.
Soft7:Paid and downloaded: Your payment for this item has been approved and you have downloaded the app. You may download it again if you need to but there is a restriction on how many times you may do this within a given period of time.
